History
Irene was the daughter of Gambit and Rogue, both of whom were among the heroes who survived the cataclysm that scorched the Earth and went underground to escape the lethal radiation. Irene, who inherited both her mother's unusual hair color and her father's red eyes, was born and spent her entire life in an underground facility located under New York City. By 2051 A.D., Irene's parents were no longer around and she also went by Rogue in honor of her mother. Following Captain Marvel's sacrifice to restart the Sun, the survivors had started regaining the surface.
